Apple Crisp With Honey

Apple Crisp With HoneyIngredients:

4 ½ cups peeled, cored and thinly sliced Washington Granny Smith
or Golden Delicious apples
2 teaspoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons water
½ cup honey
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¾ cup brown sugar
¾ cup flour
¾ cup rolled oats
4 tablespoons softened butter

Method:

1. Preheat oven to 350°. Lightly grease medium baking dish (or 8” x 8” pan).
2. Evenly spread apples in dish. Mix lemon juice and water and pour over apples.
3. Drizzle honey over apples and sprinkle with cinnamon.
4. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, flour, oats and butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over apples.
5. Bake for 25 minutes, or until apples are tender and topping is lightly browned.
